The best DIY recipe for a window cleaner!

I found the best home made recipe for a window cleaner, and I really want to share it with you all!

Contents

I have struggled for so long to find an eco friendly way to clean the glass in my home! I've tried so many eco friendly sprays and they have all been rubbish, especially against my nemesis: the shower glass.

A tap with the words '4 cups next to it, a large bottle of white vinegar, and a bottle of ecover washing up liquid have been sketched out to illustrate the recipe
The ingredients for a home made glass cleaner

Well, recently I've started to look into ways to be more eco friendly in my cleaning, and this involves making my own mixes, (usually with just vinegar and baking soda!). Imagine my surprise when I found this recipe and it pretty much instantly cut through all the grime on my shower glass with just a wipe of a flannel. I could have cried.

And now I want to share it with you because it's literally THE BEST THING I'VE DISCOVERED ALL MONTH.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups warm water

  • 2 cups white vinegar (buy distilled vinegar here)

  • 0.5 cups of dish soap (I used Ecover)

Prep

  • Mix the ingredients in a bowl (yes, that is really it)

Apply

  • Apply to glass in circular motions (I applied with a flannel/rag)

  • Use a squeegee or window vac to remove the mixture

And there you have it, perfectly shiny glass! I also used it to clean my sink and bath, and it did wonders on those too!

Please note that I did not come up with this recipe. It was shared on Instagram by @mama_mila_au
